What We Do
GRNE Solar’s focus is to provide renewable energy sources for homes, commercial buildings and utilities through the use of photovoltaics. Through careful analysis and implementation of our unique applications, GRNE Solar is changing the way the world produces electricity.
Jess Baker has over a decade of successful experience in the construction industry. After graduating from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Business Administration Jess worked as a lead superintendent at a fabrication and design firm. In 2004 he started his own construction company and has built it into one of the premier home builders in Nebraska. Jess has been elected as a member of the board of directors of the Nebraska Green Build Council and is a Certified Green Builder as recognized by the National Home Builders Association. He is the mechanical brains behind GRNE Solar and has a strong passion for green energy initiatives.
Eric Peterman holds degrees of Industrial Engineering & Management Sciences and Economics from Northwestern University. Eric comes to GRNE Solar with a diverse business background, most recently having spent 2.5 years in management consulting. He has held positions such as Director of Business Operations of a small private workout facility and Executive Director of an educational nonprofit organization that have helped him develop cost control techniques. In a past life Eric was a member of the Chicago Bears football team and continues to stay active physically by participating in triathlons. Eric’s background in strategic planning and process improvement help lead the GRNE Solar team to new successes every day.
Travis Kepler brings a wealth of experience in manufacturing and agriculture as our Design Engineer & Project Design Lead. Travis holds degrees in Manufacturing Engineering & Computer Programming. His experience spans managing dozens of multi-million generation facilities across the globe. Travis serves as the Treasurer of the local chapter of Society of Manufacturing Engineers for four years running. Travis also serves as our agriculture expert having supported his family’s farms for 20+ years. Travis enjoys hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, working on the farm, and designing cool things in AutoCAD.
